Praise for the 2009 Conference at the University of Regina

I just wanted to thank you once again for a terrific conference. I felt a great sense of community and the content of the conference was very useful and shared very collegially. The length was appropriate, I wish I could have stayed on Saturday the whole day. The accommodations were simply superb.

Hi Mary and Sheila,

I just wanted to thank you both very much for this conference. The focus offered on Strengthening Academic Leadership was simply transformational for me in my new position as Associate Dean at York. I really felt Lillas and Linda facilitated this wonderfully, especially given the fact they are much more accustomed to a three-day format! The session with Dr. Marsh (a former Yorkie!!) was most informative, and a stellar example of community-based practice.

The collegial atmosphere of the conference  was very much due to the superb organization and hospitality you both afforded us. Many thanks to your staff as well, Sheila. I had not been to the U of R in twenty-three years (when I was a company member with Globe Theatre). I was struck with the beauty of the campus, inside and outside the buildings.

My only constructive comment is reserved for me: to ensure in future that I can commit to participation for the full duration of the event. Although prior commitments for both Saturday and Sunday necessitated leaving before the conclusion of the conference, it really was difficult to leave Friday evening.

A pleasure meeting you both. I hope our paths cross again soon.
